Job Description: Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to help manage a group of large retail accounts within the In-Store-Bakery channel by executing sales strategies for CSM Bakery Solutions. Sales Representatives work as part of customer teams. The primary performance measurement is product sales & profitability delivered by that customer team. Individual objectives for this position will be set with his/her manager to regularly measure performance.

Sales & Account Management:

Act as sales representative with major retailers within the In-Store-Bakery channel. Sales reps are a key part of the customer team led by a Key Account Manager or Regional Sales Director.
Develop meaningful relationships with various members of the customers’ organization.
Execute sales strategies and programs at both the head and store office levels. Partner with Technical Sales and Service Representatives (TSSRs) to plan and execute customer level product and merchandising training.
Support the Key Account Manager or Regional Sales Director in all aspect of the sales cycle from prospecting to close in order to achieve sales targets.
Develop product presentations that are meaningful & relevant to the customers’ business objectives.
Influence customers to increase usage of CSM products vs. the competition.
Create periodic joint business planning presentations that will be led by the Key Account Manager or Regional Sales Director.
Stay on top of food trends and consumer insights. Partner with Technical Sales and Service Representatives (TSSRs) to develop new product concepts that use our ingredients and can be executed at store level. For example:
New cake concepts that use CSM icing, mixes or frozen cake layers New donut decorations that use CSM icings, glazes
Work and represent CSM at trade shows and industry events.
Develop Knowledge of:

The customers’ goals, objectives and key performance indicators.
The customers’ internal organization and how product and pricing decisions are made.
The customers’ bakery layout, equipment and how they produce various products at store level.
Packaging & merchandizing used by our customers within the bakery.
How customers typically use our products.
The entire order management & fulfillment process from order to cash Skills/Work Experience:

Sales experience within the grocery or bakery channels.
Undergraduate degree in a related field, or Culinary Arts Diploma and/or Baking & Pastry Diploma with relevant sales work experience within the food industry.
Experience with CRM software preferred.
Very strong skills within the MS Office suite.
Experience with SAP considered a plus. Ability to quickly learn new ERP systems.
Moderate travel of >25%, with overnight stays will be required. Occasional travel within the US will also be required; must have a valid passport for cross border travel.
Work Environment

Duties: Job Duties
€ Ensure and provide consistent food preparation and the highest calibre of food
presentation, following Glacier House Resort Ltd. food service and hospitality standards,
and ensure communication to the food service staff and supervisors, specifically but not
limited to Food Production operations within the kitchen.
€ Strong, effective and polite communication with all departments affecting the kitchen –
specifically Restaurant and Bar.
€ Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the various kitchen areas including
refrigerators and storerooms and that food products are rotated to ensure high standards
of freshness. Ensure refrigerators and storerooms are organized and maintained in the
various kitchen areas on a daily basis and that all food products are stored in accordance
with provincial regulations.

€ Complete assigned side duties and work duties within a timely manner, meeting required

€ Practice proper grooming, personal hygiene, and uniform standards.

€ Expedite on floor or in the kitchen as business demands.
€ Complete departmental filing, as required. This includes giving any invoices to culinary
management, in addition to completing and handing in first aid forms to culinary

Ensure that the kitchen prep area is maintained at the highest level of cleanliness at all
times, especially during food production. This includes: any food spills are cleaned
immediately, all equipment is cleaned on a daily basis, there is no build up of grease or
other stains on all equipment.
€ Ensure that food deliveries have been delivered and stored according to the standards
set by the Executive Chef and provincial health regulations.
€ Communicate to the Serving Staff for tasks encompassing Special Event Operations.
€ Follow any and all recipes as they apply to any food products that you prepare, as
determined by the Executive Chef.
€ Ensure the proper use of scales and measurements in all recipes, portioning, and food
production by both yourself and the staff under your direct supervision.
