We are looking for fun and enthusiastic chefs to join our new after school cooking programs and 2018 summer cooking day camps, for children aged 5 and up. We are conveniently located in midtown Toronto and we are expanding to various locations in the GTA. Applicants should have hands-on experience in recipe development, team management, and day-to-day operations in a busy kitchen. You will be an integral part of the kitchen team, responsible for teaching children various cooking skills and dishes, prepping ingredients with the children, maintaining the kitchen and work space, supervising equipment use, monitoring and ordering supplies and keeping camp and after school activities on track throughout the day. Our After School Programs will run from September to June. The hours of work are approximately 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.; 2 days per week (tbd). Summer camp sessions typically run for 10 weeks, from end of June to end of August. Summer hours of work are: Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and from 8:30 am – 7:30pm on Fridays for a total of approximately 45 hours per week. It was founded by Chef Shai Mandel in 2017 as an extension of her services offered since 2015. Rooks to Cooks was developed to be first and foremost student-centred and flexible. Essential Job Functions
– Standing and walking for extended
periods of time. Bend and stoop to

25 pounds, push and pull carts
weighing up to 100 pounds.

o In depth-knowledge of traditional Italian cooking methods
o In-depth knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine
o Fluency in Italian and/or work experience in Italy is not required but considered an asset
