Chef Assistant
• Following recipes accurately and maintaining food preparation processes such as cooking, marinating, seasoning, chopping herbs, dicing, cutting, and slicing vegetables
• Completing hot and cold food preparation assignment accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashion
• Preparing food throughout the day as needed, anticipating and reacting to customer volume
• Maintaining appropriate portion control and consistently monitoring food levels on the line
• Maintaining proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing and cooking food
• Assist in the cleanliness of the kitchen

Front End Customer Service
• Handle all and debit transactions and monitor front end duties such as preparing cutlery, dishes, and cleanliness of the dining area
• Serve customers with a friendly attitude
• Providing friendly, quality customer service to each guest at Lynn’s Buccoo Reef
• Working toward understanding and articulating food with integrity

Qualifications:
• Excellent customer service skills and friendly attitude
• Kitchen help experience is an asset
• Cashier experience
• Ability to lift up to 25 Ibs on occasional basis
• Excellent work ethic, ability to multi-task, and reliable
• Culinary Arts student and experience preferred

Duties: Primary Responsibilities:
50% of the time would be devoted to the Principal’s household as Personal Chef:
• Roughly 3-4 nights per week in parties up to eight people alone, or more with assistance (75% of the time on Sunday evening)
• Organizing family food events, including assistance with food for large groups at the cottage
• Organizing food supply at the Principal’s residence
• Other meals as required

50% of the time would be with a large food company as Executive Chef. Responsibilities include projects touching on:
• Work with Product Development team to create front end, bench mark concept samples
• Provide culinary leadership at Sales and Marketing presentations to maximize sales impact and product differentiation
• Plan and execute hot and cold food sampling externally at customer events and internally to increase employee engagement
• On a daily basis provide active stewardship and deployment of culinary priorities and recipe development among industry peers
• Maintain an active network of food industry relationships and contribute to culinary thought leadership
• Facilitate food education programs and learning experiences that enhance the culinary acumen of employees and customers
• Participate in student events, competitions and community activities as the culinary advocate for the large food company
• Provide training support for in-store product and video demonstrations, in-home preparation and video instruction
• Consolidate and manage catering and special event requests, executive catering requirements and outsourcing of food service resources
• Conference participations as necessary
• Lead and execute Projects as required

Goodness Me! is now hiring an experienced full-time Kitchen Supervisor to join our team in Barrie . In this role, you will lead a small team in a welcoming environment where we collaborate, learn, and share with one another.

Your previous experience with grab-and-go products, and in a food preparation/production environment while in a leadership role is required for success in this position. A Safe Food Handlers Certificate is required, while Red Seal is an asset.

In this position, you possess the ability to motivate the team and inspire employees. You value exceptional customer experience, with your focus on quality, minimizing waste, and overall presentation. You understand and adhere to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures.

When you work an evening shift, you are typically out of the store between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. You generally have two (2) consecutive days off in a row, and we offer competitive pay with experience.

Necessary Skills and Experience: Job Requirements/Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Indian cuisine, specifically tandoori preparation;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure;
