Job Description: We are looking for a creative, energetic, hard-working Cook to lead our daily lunch production (i.e. soups, sandwiches, salads, etc.). We are a small team, so the ideal candidate will be willing to help out other team members as needed. Tasks range from basics such as cleaning, prep work, cooking, and preparing sandwiches to order, to customer service/front of house (as needed), all the way up to menu planning, recipe development, and more. Final duties will be determined based on preferences and skills.

This is a full time, hourly position, with competitive pay. If you have a warm, sincere approach to customer service and are passionate about cooking and eating food, we probably have a place for you!

Necessary Skills and Experience: 1-2 years experience working in a kitchen preferred, although the right attitude and a willingness to learn goes a long way!
Must be energetic with a passion for good food.
Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays (please note that we are not open for dinner service).
Extremely reliable, flexible, and consistent. Your teammates know that they can always depend on you to be there and help out when you’re needed.

Existing Food Handlers Certification, or certification within 30-days post-hire.
Completion, or working towards a culinary degree/diploma/certification would be considered an asset.

Job Title: Head Cook

Job Description: Under the general direction of the General Manager and within established policies, procedures and guidelines the Head Cook at Black Diamond Golf Club is required to assist in executing, overseeing and directing all culinary requirements for daily a la Carte, and event operations related to the successful food services operation of the club.

Necessary Skills and Experience: Three to five years of previous culinary experience in a high traffic operation

Exceptionalcommunication/interpersonal skills both oral and written
Analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

Ability to mentor and manage a team
Excellent time management/ organization skills and ability to multi-task in high-pressure environment.

Certified Food Handling & Food Safety

Duties: • Responsible for the successful daily food services operation of the club
• Good understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Help in the preparation and design of all food menus, and event packages
• Produce high quality food in both design and taste
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely manner that meets high quality standards
• Plan and direct food preparation for daily customer, and event requirements
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic solutions related to food quality
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and health & safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with all team members, customers, and membership
• Assists with the coordination of Clubhouse maintenance
• Organizes and conducts monthly and annual food inventory audits. Completes inventory spreadsheets for approval.
• Attends and participates in management meetings, as requested.

Operational
• Makes routine inspections of work areas
• Required to work weekends, shift work and holidays.
• Promote a positive and professional image of Black Diamond Golf Club at all times
